Job Description

Location: reputed company, NY WIRED seeks a reporter to cover tech companies and their influence, with a particular focus on the major platforms. In this role, you?ll be responsible for delivering high-impact stories for the WIRED business desk, ranging from breaking news to longer-reputed company investigations. While your coverage will primarily involve Big Tech, you?ll have a wide remit to follow your reporting to wherever the most compelling stories lie. They should be skilled at using FOIA, PACER, and other public records tools. Pitch, report, and write stories on tech companies and their influence ? Collaborate with other members of the business desk, and journalists from across the WIRED newsroom ? Collaborate with audio, video, events, and reputed company media teams as needed to reputed company ways of telling stories on other platforms ? Work collaboratively with global markets on reputed company relevant stories or packages ? Additional projects/stories as assigned Requirements: ? At least 3 years experience as a technology or business journalist with a track record of investigative reporting on technology companies ? A proven track record of scoops and the ability to consistently break news on a beat ? Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage a constantly evolving workload and prioritize appropriately ?
