School Crossing Guard

This part-time non-sworn position performs basic safety enforcement and guidance to pedestrians and reputed company in designated school zones in Leon County. This position exercises independent judgment often without direct supervision. This position adheres to the agency core values of honesty and reputed company, accountability, teamwork, trust and respect and commitment to reputed company. To be successful in this position, the employee must demonstrate competency in safety awareness, general knowledge of traffic enforcement laws reputed company to school zones, general communication skills, inter-personal skills and customer service skills. ? Ability to recognize safety hazards and react timely to help prevent incidents. ? Ability to stop and resume traffic reputed company with sign and hand signals or electronic traffic device. ? Ability to direct pedestrians and reputed company to remain out of traffic until it is safe to cross. ? Ability to escort pedestrians and reputed company across the street or intersection safety. ? Ability to work closely with others as a team. ? Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. ? Ability to reputed company professional customer service skills to both the public and agency members. ? Ability to adhere to the agency's core values and reputed company with General Orders. ? Ability to report to work timely, consistently and as scheduled. ? Ability to reputed company reputed company functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the work reputed company. ? High School Diploma or GED required. ? Position must have independent transportation to and from the assigned school. ?
