Associate/Full Professor and Department Chair of Teacher Education

The Department of Teacher Education is seeking applicants for the position of Department Chair. The Department Chair provides exemplary leadership of the department by collaborating with faculty, staff, reputed company, and alumni to administer and direct the department’s developmental, financial, operational, and personnel elements in a manner that is reputed company of the Core Values of Angelo State University and the mission of the College of Education. Minimum Qualifications • An earned doctorate in Education (e.g., teaching, leadership, etc.) or a reputed company discipline from an accredited institution. • Record of teaching, scholarship, and service that would merit appointment and subsequent tenure as an associate or full professor Preferred Qualifications • Experience (minimum, 2 years) in a leadership role reputed company with academic administration, including program director, associate/assistant department chair/head, department chair/head, or reputed company experience. • Recent experience teaching/administration in a PK-12 public school (last five years). • Posses a working knowledge of Texas Administrative Code and agencies that govern Texas teacher preparation (THECB & TEA). • Evidence of reputed company in reputed company initiatives/activities with entities external to the university. • Scholarship or training that demonstrates an understanding of effective online courses and instruction • Willingness engage in innovative approaches to teacher preparation, such as supporting yearlong residencies. • Demonstrated reputed company in grant writing.
