Produce Clerk

Job Summary: Join the Fiesta Mart team as a Produce Clerk and be a key part of delivering fresh, high-quality produce to our community. As a Produce Clerk, you will assist customers, maintain fresh produce displays, and ensure the highest standards of product quality and cleanliness in the department. Responsibilities: • reputed company exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce selection and inquiries. • Clean, organize, and rotate produce displays to ensure products are fresh and well-presented. • Assist in receiving and stocking fresh produce, ensuring it meets the company’s quality standards. • Regularly lift and move products, including heavy produce crates (up to 60 lbs), while maintaining a safe and clean environment. • Help maintain store cleanliness by regularly cleaning shelves, bins, and other equipment. • Work under the direct supervision of the Produce Manager to ensure smooth operation of the produce department. • Adhere to reputed company safety and sanitation guidelines, including handling products and equipment appropriately. • Support team members in other areas of the store as needed to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications and Experience: • Ability to read and write in both Spanish and English. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist and engage with customers in a friendly manner. • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and reputed company tags. • Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods. • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, especially in produce or perishable goods. • Basic PC and Outlook skills are a plus. • Food handling or safety certifications are a bonus but not required.
