The Office of the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) is looking for a Conflict Resolution Specialist to join its Dispute Resolution Team from Headquarters. The CAO’s mandate is to assist the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)—the private sector lending and insurance arms of the World Bank Group—to address complaints from people affected by business activities in a manner that is fair, objective, and constructive and to enhance the E&S reputed company of activities in which these institutions play a role. The role: Working under the direction of the Head of Dispute Resolution, and in collaboration with other Analysis and Specialists, you will support the resolution of conflicts reputed company to the environmental and reputed company impact of IFC projects in accordance with the IFC/MIGA Independent Accountability Mechanism (CAO) Policy. Duties & Responsibilities • Assess the viability of dispute resolution as a means of achieving a remedy for project-affected people. Identify and understand hidden agendas and barriers to effective problem-solving, while responding appropriately to diverse emotions, conducts, cultural standards, and temperaments. • Monitor the implementation of agreements reached by the parties of a dispute resolution process.
