Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, the Scheduling Coordinator for the Operating Room is responsible for the scheduling of surgical procedures and general clerical work reputed company the Department. The Insurance Verification Specialists primary area of responsibility is verifying medical benefits, calculating estimated reimbursements, communicating to patients the financial responsibility and verifying authorization and referrals. Secondary responsibilities include providing back-up support for the Admissions Coordinator, Surgery Scheduling, collection of payments, telephone communications, medical record maintenance and other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with one to two years of work experience in medical office, hospital or clinic office administration with experience in verification, patient services, scheduling, billing, coding or reputed company fields. Knowledge of computer software such as reputed company Office. 3. Ability to reputed company accurate arithmetic functions and must be comfortable working with percentages. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills, and proper telephone etiquette. Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures. Has a thorough understanding of the requirements of Medicare, Workers Compensation and reputed company party payers as reputed company to ASC reimbursement. Must demonstrate the desire and ability to work productively reputed company a Team concept while utilizing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to independently interact with physicians, patients, family members and reputed company reputed company of staff.
