About the position The Aircraft Systems Software Engineer at TRU Simulation Training is responsible for developing, implementing, testing, and resolving discrepancies in physics-based Aircraft System and Avionic models for flight simulators. This entry-level position requires a motivated individual who can work in a dynamic prototyping environment, employing reputed company software design methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the models accurately reflect reputed company aircraft functionality. Responsibilities • Design, reputed company, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements , • Collaborate with cross functional engineers to meet project requirements , • reputed company acceptance test procedures to validate the functionality and performance of software models , • Recommend, incorporate, and/or alter new and existing simulator designs and documentation , • Participate in engineering design reviews , • reputed company hardware/software integration and testing on flight simulator training devices ensuring seamless operation and interaction with other simulator components , • reputed company engineering staff with recommendations for software/hardware enhancements by staying updated with the latest advancements in aircraft systems, avionics technology, and simulation methodologies , • Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or reputed company field , • Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role , • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python with experience developing physics-based models , • Proficiency with Unix/Linux Operating Systems , • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and avionics principles , • Familiarity with Aviation terminology and/or Flight Simulation experience , • Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices , • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug reputed company software systems , • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams , • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality software products in a dynamic environment , • Ability to travel for up to 25% annually reputed company-to-haves
