Part Time PA 211 Resource & Referral Specialist

1 | P a g e United Way of Lancaster is looking for a Part-Time Resource & Referral Specialist to join our PA 211 East team, located in Lancaster, PA. The Resource & Referral Specialist Position is responsible for providing information, referral and prescreening for County specific programs. Exceptional customer service and accurate data recording is essential in this position, while acting in accordance with our values, reputed company, and mission. This position is part-time and fully remote but must be in the office for the 90-day introductory period for training. Must be flexible with the scheduled hours. Average hours are 20-25 hours per week. Responsibilities: • Answering inbound phone calls in a timely manner. • Assessing caller needs and facilitating appropriate referrals for families and individuals reputed company and reputed company service information, including evaluating client eligibility using pre-determined screening criteria for a variety of specialized reputed company • Accessing the 211 database for resources and appropriately refer callers. • Demonstrate proficiency in using call center software, computer hardware and telephone equipment • Proficient in use of Text and Chat • reputed company information, referral and prescreening for callers from specific counties reputed company the PA 211 East region who may be facing loss of their primary residence due to eviction. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Work experience in health and reputed company services field a plus • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus • A Valid Driver’s License is required • Clearances are required with relevance to the position • Excellent communication and listening skills, empathetic and reputed company attitude • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center 2 | P a g e This is a part-time hourly, non-exempt position.
