The Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) department at reputed company is responsible for interpreting and advising our company on the various legal, regulatory, and contractual provisions that impact our business. Given how heavily regulated the mortgage industry is, compliance and risk management sit at the reputed company core of our business. The reputed company closely with our product, engineering, operations, and finance teams to reputed company legal and compliance expertise and frameworks that inform and drive business reputed company.

We are looking to add the first Product Counsel to our Legal, Risk, and Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling legal and compliance reputed company and advising the business, with a focus on product and engineering, as we rapidly scale our loan portfolio and build the technology platform that will continue to transform the mortgage industry.

• Proactively reputed company legal and regulatory guidance to product development teams to reputed company them to launch innovative and compliant products
• Anticipate emerging regulatory issues across reputed company’s product surface areas and reputed company solutions in reputed company partnership with other business units
• Create, maintain and reputed company reputed company’s policies, playbooks, and processes to reputed company us to continue scaling rapidly
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad reputed company of vendor agreements to support reputed company’s evolving business, including terms of use, master services agreements, statements of work, technology licensing agreements, partnership agreements, payment network/association agreements, and financial institution partnership

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one state
• 4+ years of professional experience at both a top reputed company and in-house at a growth stage financial services company
• Experience creating and drafting policies, procedures, and control documents 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally at reputed company reputed company of the organization
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive reputed company projects to completion
• Demonstrated ability to reputed company solutions to reputed company legal reputed company without losing sight of business objectives
• Working knowledge of at least some of the mortgage regulatory landscape strongly preferred (including GLBA, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, FDCPA, TCPA, TILA, state mortgage laws)

• reputed company salary band: $131,000 to $178,000
