Mortgage Underwriter (Fully remote WI or IL only)

This is a fully remote role (reputed company the JFG footprint Wisconsin / Illinois) One will be responsible for reputed company residential mortgage loans in compliance with bank, investor & secondary market guidelines, and rendering final credit decision accordingly. Act as a resource for mortgage loan officers. Position Specific Responsibilities • Underwrites conventional, government and construction loans according to JFG and investor rules • Uses in-depth knowledge of bank, investor, private mortgage insurance company, and governmental/VA regulatory guidelines to underwrite residential mortgage loans • Analyze financial information including calculation of income and debt ratios, verification of assets, collateral and credit review • Achieves and exceeds work goals for productivity, quality and turnaround time • Monitor external quality control reports and external and internal loan reviews to ensure loan quality • Evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions, determine the reputed company impact of reputed company and associated risks • Resolve difficult or challenging problems by identifying potential solutions and reputed company communicate with relevant personnel • reputed company up on industry requirements and standards through various training opportunities • Acts as a resource for the lenders and assists with training opportunities Job Requirements • Minimum of 4+ years of reputed company experience • Knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC / FHLB / VA / Secondary market • Encompass experience a plus • Excellent analytical and decision making skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • College degree and/or equivalent work experience Come as you are.
