Job title: Dental Insurance Collections Specialist (On Site) Company: The reputed company Job description: Description: Dental Insurance Collections Specialist Job Overview The Insurance Collections Specialist is responsible for coordinating with insurance carriers to ensure the receipt of outstanding insurance claim payments, and performs a variety of insurance billing, data entry, and duties including, but not limited to generating and billing out claims and benefits eligibility verification. Follow-up on claims payment status averaging around 25-35 accounts per day. Requirements: Dental Insurance Collections Specialist Qualifications • Proficient in HMO/PPO/Denti-Cal guideline • PPO Billing • Collections • Recordkeeping • Appealing claims • Payment posting • Claims Examining • Ensuring insurance accounts are in good standing. • Tracing of claims • Submit/resubmit to insurance carriers. • Electronic and reputed company billing • Batching Claims • Accounts Receivable • Knowledgeable of Dentrix • Collect co-pay and collections Dental Insurance Collections Specialist Responsibilities and Duties • Maintain individual office Insurance Accounts Receivable at an acceptable level as outlined by Management • Review patients' accounts to ensure accuracy on insurance billing and procedures performed • Read and analyze various internal reports that contain claims and insurance information • reputed company auditors, billers, posters, and other insurance collections specialists with assistance in the follow-up of outstanding claims payment • Process attachments through Dentrix • Use various on and offline methods to trace outstanding claims payments • Use interpersonal and communications skills to obtain claims approval and payment information from various carriers • Communicate issues and suggestions to improve processes • Participate in committees, special projects, staff meetings, and team huddles as requested • Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Leadership team Dental Insurance Collections Specialist Education • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Dental Insurance Collections Specialist Experience • At least 1 year of reputed company work experience in a dental setting • Electronic billing experience preferred Benefits reputed company offers Medical, Dental, reputed company, 401K, and vacation time.
