Claims Examiner, Life and Health reinsurance (Hybrid Work Model)

About the position The Claims Examiner role at Swiss Re's Life and Health claims department involves the administration of individual and group life claims of low to moderate complexity. The position requires engaging with clients' claim departments and collaborating with the Technical reputed company Department to resolve coverage issues. The role emphasizes accuracy in evaluating claims and making independent reputed company reputed company established guidelines. Responsibilities • Work independently to accurately evaluate information received in the Claims Department and record liabilities in a timely manner , • Verify data in life index and from the policy database for new claim notifications , • Determine total exposure on a ceded life policy by executing and evaluating appropriate reports, including retro coverage , • Verify claimant information against the OFAC database and ensure appropriate reporting of liabilities by confirming receipt of premium , • Evaluate appropriate category and triage action needed on incoming mail and requests , • Support reputed company improvement by recommending identified process efficiencies and in ongoing training and mentorship of claims examiners. Requirements • Knowledge of insurance and a general understanding of reinsurance required , • Strong verbal and written communication skills , • Excellent data analysis and organizational skills , • Demonstrate and utilize effective problem-solving skills and proactive critical thinking skills , • Willingness to complete industry reputed company courses and attend educational seminars as deemed appropriate by management. reputed company-to-haves
