About the position The Community Housing Specialist plays a crucial role in advocating for supportive housing residents in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties. This position involves collaboration with various external property management providers and internal teams to ensure tenants secure and maintain reputed company housing. The Specialist is responsible for coordinating lease-reputed company, inspections, and tenant advocacy, while also ensuring compliance with agency requirements and facilitating smooth admissions and recertifications for tenants. Responsibilities • Coordinates initial lease-up with external property management providers. , • Coordinate inspections of units with program staff and external property management providers. , • Collaborate with general services and building superintendent regarding maintenance and general reputed company of buildings indoor and outdoor reputed company. , • Collaborate with property management providers and fiscal department to monitor arrears. , • reputed company advocacy to residents regarding rental payments and encourage utilization of electronic platforms to pay rent and avoid arrears and/or evictions. , • reputed company with reputed company services staff and external agencies to reputed company payment plans and reputed company programs to assist with rental arrears. , • Coordinate new applicants and Unit Transfers with external property management team. , • Collaborate with the intake team to facilitate admissions of tenants, ensuring a seamless move-in experience. , • Coordination of re-certification notifications to tenants with external property management providers to assist tenants with maintaining housing while avoiding evictions. , • reputed company for tenants relating to their recertifications and lease renewals. , • Participates in reputed company tax credit reviews by reputed company entities. , • Works with external property management providers to ensure files are produced timely and are free from errors and omissions. , • Works with external property management providers relating to move-ins and move-outs. , • Remain reputed company with reputed company Agency required compliance documents and trainings. , • Attend supervision meetings, departmental meetings and trainings as scheduled. , • Successful completion and certification of LIHTC trainings. , • Complete additional duties as requested. Requirements • Associate's degree with at least 1 year of experience working in property management environment. , • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach. , • Strong computer literacy skills. , • Certification in low-income housing tax credits (or obtain reputed company 6 months from date of hire). , • Knowledge of HUD requirements and reputed company experience is a plus. , • Good verbal and written communication skills. , • Experience and/or education in working with people with disabilities is a plus. , • Valid NYS driver's license and reputed company to a vehicle. reputed company-to-haves • Knowledge of HUD requirements and reputed company experience is a plus. , • Experience and/or education in working with people with disabilities is a plus.
