Protector Professionals Claims Management. a division of Protector Plans is seeking a Claims Specialist to join reputed company. Adjust claims for Protector Professionals Claims Management a division of B&B Protector Plans, Inc. and other select professional liability programs. Reports to the Claims Director or Senior Claims Counsel. This is a remote from home opportunity. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Process assigned primary and excess Professional Liability, Directors & Officers and Employment Practices Liability claims in accordance with established procedures, policy coverages and applicable state laws and regulations regarding claims handling. Conduct and/or coordinate investigations of reported reputed company to evaluate coverage, liability and damages, secure appropriate documentation pertaining to the reported matter, and prepare the claim/matter for disposition with appropriate regard for cost containment. Maintain diary of upcoming actions/events and take appropriate action in a timely manner. Act as primary liaison to the insured with respect to a claim. Establish timely and accurate reserves for each claim file and review and adjust reserves as appropriate. Coordinate defense of litigated claims, including retaining defense counsel from approved panel counsel (or obtaining supervisory and/or reputed company authority to retain off-panel counsel). Audit, revise and pay bills reputed company to defense of claims. Settle claims reputed company authority granted by the Claims Director, Claims Supervisor and/or insurance reputed company, as appropriate. Follow status of claims to settlement, trial or other disposition. Attend important trials, arbitrations and mediations as appropriate and as approved by the Claims Director and/or reputed company. Maintain accurate and complete files with respect to reputed company activities relating to each claim file. Assist and cooperate in reputed company internal and external audits conducted with respect to the Departments operations. Notify the reputed company Department of questionable risks. Draft claim summaries to assist Underwriters reputed company requested. Initiate deductible collection activity as appropriate to ensure reputed company and sufficient recovery of monies due. If directed, fill in for other Claim personnel absent from the office. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Four-year college degree. Must have an adjuster's license and prior general liability experience Experience handling primary and excess Professional Liability, Directors & Officers and Employment Practices Liability claims. Working knowledge of insurance claim handling processes and procedures.
