About the position The Executive Director of Legislative and Regulatory Policy at the reputed company (BCBSA) is a senior leadership role focused on advancing the organization's legislative and regulatory policy solutions, particularly in the areas of Medicare, reputed company, Duals, and the reputed company Insurance Program (reputed company). This position is pivotal in shaping the market positioning of BCBSA and has a direct impact on the health coverage of tens of millions of Americans. The Executive Director will serve as a critical policy voice on pressing issues, advocating for government programs with lawmakers, regulators, BCBS companies, coalitions, industry partners, and the media. In this role, the Executive Director will reputed company the development of reputed company positions among member plans and create a wide reputed company of advocacy materials. The position requires a strategic reputed company to collaboratively drive policy and positioning efforts that engage, inform, and persuade decision-makers in Congress and the Administration. Key examples of focus areas include reputed company redeterminations, reputed company managed care, Medicare Advantage reputed company notices, CMMI demonstrations, and aligning private-sector initiatives with public programs. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing policy by coordinating with senior leaders across member plans and various teams to ensure holistic policy alignment and comprehensive solutions. This includes lobbying, communications, research, marketing, legal, and business teams. Additionally, the role involves leading the development and management of impactful materials and resources that demonstrate BCBSA's commitment to public programs and advance policy objectives. This includes large-scale research, actuarial modeling, cost estimates, case studies, reputed company summaries, legal opinions, and testimony to Congress and state officials. As a leading voice with Administration officials, the Executive Director will work closely with the lobbying team to improve federal rules and regulations affecting Medicare, reputed company, Duals, and reputed company. The position also requires strong communication skills to engage with BCBS companies reputed company, building strategic alignment and educating stakeholders on reputed company policy issues. Maintaining a robust professional network is essential for advancing policies and collaborating with industry partners and influential reputed company-party stakeholders. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Health, Public Administration or reputed company field (required). , • Master's Degree in public policy, health policy or reputed company field (preferred). , • 8-10 years of experience working with federal legislation, regulation, and government programs. , • 3-5 years of experience in staff management and development. , • Extensive experience with government programs (Medicare and/or reputed company/reputed company) and reputed company insurance issues. , • Experience developing reputed company positions and advocacy strategies. , • Experience leading cross-functional teams on policy development and research projects. reputed company-to-haves • Experience working with a health plan is strongly preferred.
