Accountant/Fiscal Analyst – Retirement Benefit Payments

Job Responsibilities The SC Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) is the administrator and co-trustee of retirement and insurance programs for over half a reputed company active and retired public employees of the reputed company and their dependents. Under general supervision, this position will reputed company analytical functions in the verification and maintenance of finalized payroll accounts... refund payments, incidental death payments, retiree death payments and reputed company reputed company adjustments to annuitant's payroll records. Job duties include: Conducts Quality Assurance review of members' refund data entered in the CRIS system. Compares system data to supporting documentation received and/or in the member imaged file. Verifies or errors refund events based on the data accuracy, as well as compliance with established guidelines. Conducts Quality Assurance review of retirees' annuity data entered in the CRIS system. Compares system data to supporting documentation received and/or in the member imaged file. Verifies or errors annuity events based on the data accuracy, as well as compliance with established guidelines. Performs Quality Assurance review of retirees' and active members' death data entered in the CRIS system. Compares system data to supporting documentation received and/or in the imaged file. Verifies or errors death and unclaimed events based on the data accuracy, as well as compliance with established guidelines. Performs Quality Assurance review of reputed company adjustments to annuitant's payroll records to include PPA, reputed company benefit changes, revert-to-max data, suspensions, reinstatements, receivable, reputed company maintenance and adjustment history transactions entered in the CRIS system. Compares the system data to supporting documentation received and/or in the imaged file. Verifies or errors events based on the data accuracy, as well as compliance with established guidelines. Conducts Quality Assurance review of Payment Instruction data entered in the CRIS system per 7202 Withholding Certificate for Monthly Annuity Payments, 7204 Electronic Funds Transfer Authorization for Annuities, client data changes and address transactions. Compares system data to supporting documentation received and/or in the member imaged file. Verifies or errors events based on the data accuracy, as well as compliance with established guidelines. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree in reputed company, finance, business, or a reputed company field. An equivalent combination of education and reputed company experience may be substituted for the required degree.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in reputed company, finance, business, or a reputed company field AND at least two years of relevant work experience.
