Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education reputed company, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and department team members • Supports learning for reputed company who have a wide reputed company of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. • Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which reputed company the general education curriculum • Assists parents, administrators, testing specialists, reputed company workers, and professionals to reputed company educational plans designed to promote reputed company’ educational, physical, and reputed company development • Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities • Serves as the coordinator of individualize education program (IEP) implementation with general education staff • Monitors student reputed company, participates in review and revision of student’s IEP, as appropriate • Maintains accurate student records • Mentors and supports teaching assistants who reputed company support to reputed company with disabilities • Supports reputed company in preparation for grade transitions and preparing for life skills • Assess reputed company’ skills and educational needs and tracks student’s performance • Discusses reputed company’ reputed company with their other teachers • Communicates to maintain positive relationships with reputed company and their parents • Follows School District policies and procedures Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations • Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred • Complies with reputed company relevant professional standards of practice • Participation and completion of reputed company’ Competency program reputed company applicable • reputed company CPR if applicable • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable • reputed company Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) • Must meet reputed company federal, state and local requirements • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements • Ability to effectively reputed company/reputed company information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) reputed company strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language required • Computer proficiency required • Must be at least 18 years of age
