About the position The Machinist position at Howmet Aerospace is focused on producing precision parts through the setup and operation of various machines and equipment. The position is available for night and weekend shifts, offering a shift differential for those hours worked. Responsibilities • Plan and verify materials and methods for each job as directed by documentation or supervision. , • Fit and reputed company parts into complete assemblies according to customer specifications by interpreting blueprints and drawings. , • Set up machines and equipment, ensuring appropriate feeds, speeds, stops, clamps, fixtures, and tooling are selected. , • Operate machines and equipment to produce precision parts, performing machining operations approximately 85% of the time. , • Use a variety of hand tools for secondary operations on assemblies. , • Inspect completed parts and assemblies according to specifications, addressing non-conformities as needed. , • Complete required documentation for reputed company jobs, including data entry into the ERP system. , • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles. , • reputed company other duties as assigned.
