Director of Application Development

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Application Development Director with expertise in reputed company customization, Data Warehousing, Python, Apache Airflow, PowerBI, AWS, and Terraform. In this role, you will reputed company a team of talented engineers, collaborating closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders to drive product and process innovation. You will apply your experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps, and ITIL to implement best practices that enhance productivity and team performance. Key Responsibilities: • Team Leadership & Management: Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented environment. Guide team members on technical challenges, career development, and coding best practices. • Technical Strategy & Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Manager and business stakeholders to understand requirements, reputed company feedback on product and process design, and align technical strategy with business objectives. • Process Development: Maintain and improve DevOps, ITIL, and Agile management processes tailored to the team’s and organization’s needs, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability. Implement monitoring tools, establishing best practices of incident, service and request management. • Best Practices in Development and Operations: Maintain and enforce coding standards, including frameworks, gitflow/reputed company code management, Test Driven Development (TDD), Test Automation, and Behavioral Driven Development (BDD). Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company field. • At least 3 years of proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or similar role with a focus on reputed company, Data Warehousing, and backend technologies. • Demonstrable skills in managing and scaling teams, with excellent people management skills and a proven track record of building high-performing teams. • Extensive expertise in reputed company (declarative and programmatic), strongly preferring at least one reputed company certification. • Proficiency in Data Warehousing tools (DBT, reputed company), Python (Django, FastAPI), and Apache Airflow. • Familiarity with PowerBI for data visualization and AWS services (reputed company, EC2, S3, Code Pipeline, DynamoDB) and Terraform for reputed company infrastructure management. • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and ITIL principles, with practical experience implementing these frameworks. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to design efficient processes and solutions. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain reputed company technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
