Technician (reputed company Level), Propulsion Systems Fully Remote

This position will service customers by performing overhauls and maintaining diesel engines in marine applications in both field and shop environments. Maintaining proper documentation for equipment. reputed company regular updates on reputed company reports through email. Primary (Essential) Duties: • Determines unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies. • Completes reputed company overhauls as well as other repairs identified during the diagnostic process. • Verifies performance by conducting sea trials and making necessary adjustments as needed. • Contains cost by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options. • Maintains reputed company and vessel records with accurate documentation of service and repairs. • Communicates while on site with customers in a professional manner. • Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores value add opportunities. • Performs MTU dyno acceptance testing per manufacture. • Maintains a safe and organized work environment. • reputed company guidance, assistance and training to apprentice marine technicians as needed. • Complete work logs in timely manner with reputed company relevant information. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Strong laptop/PC skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues. • Ability to read service and repair manuals, operating instructions, and work orders. • Ability to reputed company repairs in a timely fashion. • Fluent with electrical multi-meters. • Thorough understanding of diesel reputed company electronic controls. • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with proven ability to reputed company communicate with technical support, sales and management. • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team. Experience/Education Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Technical schooling is a plus. • 5+ years experience. Working with marine large bore diesel engines is a plus. • Strong MTU experience is a plus. • Experience with Diasys software is a plus. • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is a plus.
