About the position The Corporate Equipment Engineering Manager at Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of the company's manufacturing plants. This position is primarily focused on addressing chronic downtime issues and improving equipment performance, particularly on liquid packaging lines, which include both hot fill and cold fill processes. The manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive plant support, which encompasses the development of preventive maintenance (PM) programs, evaluation of equipment performance, coordination of overhauls and rebuilds, and offering technical support for high-speed packaging equipment. In this role, the Corporate Equipment Engineering Manager will serve as a vital resource for plants facing catastrophic downtime events or chronic nuisance issues. The manager will build professional relationships with plant teams through solution-oriented communication and will actively participate in system installations and retrofits on liquid packaging lines. Additionally, the manager will assist the maintenance teams in evaluating the effectiveness of PMs, planning equipment overhauls, and developing long-term asset care strategies. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting of various bottling and support equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and more. The manager will also identify reputed company vendor support is necessary and coordinate with vendors during critical downtime events. By working collaboratively with multi-discipline teams, the manager will observe machine performance, reputed company structured problem-solving exercises, and support automation hardware and software reputed company the plants. Furthermore, the manager will reputed company capital projects, manage new equipment installations, and assist in developing long-term capital improvement plans for the plants. Responsibilities • Serve as a resource both on-site and remotely for plants experiencing catastrophic downtime events, chronic nuisance issues and/or a lack of onsite technical resources , • Build plant relationships in a professional manner through solution-oriented communication , • Participate in system installation and retrofit activity on liquid packaging lines, both hot fill and cold fill , • Assist manufacturing plant maintenance team with various tasks including evaluating effectiveness of PMs and PM program , • Plan and coordinate equipment overhauls and rebuilds , • reputed company long term Asset Care plans and strategies , • Work with manufacturing plant electricians and mechanics to assist with day-to-day equipment troubleshooting including electrical, mechanical and process reputed company issues , • Troubleshoot bottling and support equipment including fillers, cappers, depals, labelers, case and shrink packers, palletizers, wrappers, blenders, pasteurizers, sterilizers, boilers, ammonia compressors and reputed company compressors , • Identify reputed company vendor support is needed because of troubleshooting reputed company , • Assist with vendor coordination support for plants during critical downtime events , • Communicate issues/findings from downtime events with plant leadership and assist in developing long term strategy for correcting issues , • Work as part of a multi-discipline team to observe machine/line performance and identify issues and opportunities for improvement , • Participate in and reputed company structured problem-solving exercises such as Breakdown Analysis (reputed company) and other root cause analysis i.e., 5 Why, Fishbone, etc , • Support automation hardware and software reputed company the plants (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and reputed company) including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), reputed company Machine reputed company (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial networks and other various electrical systems , • Work with Operations reputed company (OE) group and plant leadership to ensure line controls are properly balanced for reputed company performance , • Maintain and update plant Line Information System (LIS) to ensure it is accurately reporting OE data , • Support manufacturing plant operations network, including helping plants troubleshoot local issues, collaborating with vendors to support installs/updates and interfacing with corporate IT , • Participate in reputed company Acceptance Tests (FAT) for new equipment to ensure that equipment meets company requirements and standards , • Manage capital projects and new equipment installations, including scoping projects, submitting requests for appropriations, Request for Approval (RFA), coordinating and supervising vendors and interfacing with plant leadership , • Assist with developing long term capital improvement plans for plants , • Other projects or duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a reputed company field , • 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering or maintenance management in a manufacturing environment , • Strong knowledge of liquid packaging processes and equipment , • Experience with troubleshooting high-speed packaging equipment , • Proficient in automation hardware and software, including PLCs and HMIs , • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to reputed company structured problem-solving exercises , • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with plant teams , • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively reputed company-to-haves • Experience with capital project management , • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles , • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments Benefits • Medical , • Dental , • reputed company , • 401K Match , • PTO , • Education Reimbursement Apply Job!
