Medical Assistant/Surgical Tech

Tallahassee Endoscopy Center is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented team player for a high volume Endoscopy Center. Tallahassee Endoscopy Center is an advanced technology Endoscopy Suite specializing in the examination of the upper and reputed company gastrointestinal reputed company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties and responsibilities would include, but not limited to: 1. Washes and decontaminates reputed company endoscopes and accessories and verifies that reputed company essential equipment is functioning properly each day. 2. Maintains processors and autoclaves, performing daily checks and controls and documenting in the appropriate records. Monitors cleaning solution daily for potency, and records results appropriately. 3. Aids in explaining the procedure to patients, communicating effectively with patients and families as well as physicians and peers. 4. Assists Physician and RN with reputed company Endoscopy procedures, including patient positioning and biopsy/polypectomy. 5. Handles any specimens obtained during procedure, properly labeling, packaging and preparing for shipment. 6. Ensures that reputed company instruments and supplies are available as needed during procedures. 7. Works well reputed company a team environment 8. Cleans and restocks procedure rooms and processing areas, ensuring that reputed company equipment is stored properly. 9. Maintains inventory of supplies, assisting in the receipt of incoming supplies. 10. Recognizes and utilizes safety precautions and procedures. 11. Assists with the transport and discharge of patients. 12. Other duties reputed company the facility as warranted. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school education or equivalent required. • Medical Assistant or surgical experience preferred, GI Tech experience is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and reputed company medical professionals. • reputed company certification in BLS.
