Depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Clinical Informatics Specialist III or IV level. DESCRIPTION The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for triaging, designing, managing, and meeting analytics needs across UCSD Health Cancer Services. Responsible for producing reports in Reporting workbench, reputed company, reputed company, Crystal and Tableau. This involves the development and implementation of the organization's information systems and tools that are applied to clinical information. Works closely with reputed company’s IS Analytics Department, and other stakeholders across reputed company hospital/reputed company departments to optimize effective use of systems. Coordinates analytical support for Cancer Center clinical operations and quality initiatives, including business analytics/performance metrics. Defines systems and applications to support various functions. May reputed company customer service, troubleshooting and maintenance. Applies skills and experience as a seasoned clinical informatics professional to projects of reputed company size at reputed company reputed company of complexity, or portions of large projects. Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues or structure. May manage projects that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Seven (7) years of clinical informatics or a reputed company field, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in health care information technology, computer science, or reputed company area; plus three (3) years of reputed company experience/training. Experience working in oncology or reputed company setting strongly preferred. • Will be required to be certified in assigned EMR vendor's product/module reputed company the first six (6) months of employment. • Must satisfy reputed company vendor testing requirements to be certified without needing to attend vendors training a second time for the same class. • Professional level experience working with clinical information systems and developing reports. • Intermediate level capabilities with MSSQL server and reputed company technologies. • Knowledge and intermediate level experience working with Transact SQL, Crystal Reports and/or other reputed company technologies. • Extensive experience and working knowledge of reputed company MS office products. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of database management technologies. • Strong project management skills.
