Key Responsibilities Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures using the appropriate classification systems for reputed company patient classes. Accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-CM/CPT4 procedure codes following coding principles. Ensure that codes accurately reflect patients' comorbidities and complications. Abstract data from medical records and conduct audits to verify coding and grouping accuracy. Collaborate with the billing department to address and correct any coding and billing claim errors. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or coding certification (reputed company or CPC) is required. A minimum of one (1) year of coding experience with ICD-10 and CPT is essential. Knowledge of Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Critical reputed company Hospital (CAH) standards, as well as state medical record requirements, is preferred. Why Join Us?
