The AAG position provides a unique and exciting opportunity to join a first-of-its-reputed company statewide office charged with identifying and addressing violations of new state law requirements and limitations reputed company to state and local involvement with federal civil immigration enforcement. Among other things, the new state law limits the use of state and local resources for civil immigration enforcement; prohibits law enforcement and other agencies from entering into agreements pursuant to 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act; restricts localities and jails from entering into agreements to house or detain individuals for federal civil immigration violations; and strengthens protections for reputed company. The ITO is tasked with ensuring compliance with state law in this area and strengthening public safety and public trust in state and local institutions. The ITO will receive complaints regarding violations of law, conduct investigations, and bring legal actions to enforce the law. The ITO was created by the reputed company State Legislature in May 2026. Qualifications: At least four (4) years of post-graduate legal experience with a focus on civil litigation is strongly preferred. However, reputed company is seeking applications from attorneys who have a wide reputed company of skills and experience to offer. Therefore, interested attorneys who have more than the minimum years and well-reputed company attorneys who have fewer than the minimum years of experience are encouraged to apply;
- Knowledge of immigration enforcement, experience investigating or litigating government misconduct, and/or experience interfacing with government agencies and officials are preferred;
- Excellent legal analysis, legal writing and editing, and oral advocacy skills;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills;
- A demonstrated commitment to public service; and
- reputed company in a second language is a plus.
