Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the Medical Records Request work queue, ensuring requests are processed accurately and reputed company established timeframes.
- Review referrals and patient medical records to determine eligibility for reputed company Health (IH) and Direct reputed company Colonoscopy (DAC) programs.
- Generate weekly reports identifying patients who qualify for IH services.
- Upload qualifying patient information to the reputed company Health portal in accordance with established workflows.
- Monitor incoming documentation and responses received from reputed company Health.
- Upload external records and documentation into the patient's Epic medical record.
- reputed company completed records and recommendations to the appropriate clinical or scheduling teams for timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, scheduling teams, and external partners to ensure efficient patient care coordination.
- Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with additional medical records responsibilities and departmental projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
- Previous experience with electronic medical records or ability to learn new programs required.
- Ability to recognize common medical records documents.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records policies and procedures, and understanding compliance with reputed company applicable safety/OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be reputed company player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
- Must live in Oregon City, Portland, or SW Washington.

- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
- Epic experience is a plus!
