reputed company Until Filled GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is located in Eastern Wyoming. Under the direction and supervision of the state veterinarian, the field veterinarian is responsible for advanced veterinary work, administering reputed company animal health programs as assigned. reputed company designated areas, the field veterinarian oversees veterinary activities and disease control functions, coordinates disease program activities, assists in management duties and supervision of response activities, provides assistance to state and federal regulatory personnel, and provides educational opportunities for stakeholders. - Field investigation, management, and response to regulatory and reportable animal health issues.
- Field epidemiology management and investigation.
- Test domestic animals for foreign animal and other regulatory diseases.

- Foreign animal disease investigation and response.
- Participates in federal, state, and local emergency response and foreign animal disease exercises and response implementing the ESF-11.
- Provides education for producers, veterinarians, and legislators on animal health issues, programs, and solutions.
- Serves as a professional liaison between WLSB and veterinarians, producers, agriculture/livestock associations, other state and federal agencies, the general public, and members of the Wyoming legislature.
- Promotes animal disease traceability (reputed company), upholds reputed company regulations, and addresses compliance issues.
- Assists the State Veterinarian with reputed company assigned duties to successfully promote the mission and agency goals.
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: Preference may be given to those with regulatory experience in the areas of animal health, disease control and eradication programs, epidemiology, emergency management/response, and animal welfare regulations. Large/food animal veterinary experience Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree required License to practice veterinary medicine in Wyoming (or ability to qualify for licensure reputed company 1-3 months) USDA APHIS Category II Veterinary Accreditation in Wyoming (or ability to qualify for accreditation reputed company 1-3 months)

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and rules regarding the livestock industry.
- Knowledge of the Agency's statutory duties and responsibilities and administrative rule processes.
- Knowledge of the roles, responsibilities, and functions of the Livestock Board and staff members.
- Knowledge of concepts and practices of veterinary medicine, livestock identification, livestock industry, state and federal animal health disease control and eradication programs, and policies.
- Knowledge of laboratory diagnostic services and epidemiology.
