Responsibilities

• Conduct prospective medication prior authorization services to expedite clinic and discharge workflow and enhance the patient experience.
• Coordinate refill and prescription renewal requests by pre-screening patients for viable payment sources and managing reimbursement issues.
• Facilitate effective working relationships and consistent communication between clinics, hospitals, patients, and pharmacies.
• Identify and refer appropriate patients to medication assistance programs.

• May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
• Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) reputed company one (1) year as a condition of reputed company employment in this job classification.
