[Remote] Opto-Mechanical Designer - Remote

The Opto-Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing mechanical components that reputed company with optical elements and will work on reputed company phases of opto-mechanical subsystems from conceptual design to integration and testing.
Responsibilities
- The Opto-Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design and modeling of mechanical components to reputed company with optical elements such as lenses, mirrors, diffractive elements and filters
- The candidate will design and model the mechanical means to mount and position these elements in an optical system
- The designer will also need to be reputed company to reputed company detailed drawings of these optical elements and overall optical system as well as fabrication and assembly drawings for the mechanical hardware and optical assemblies
- reputed company assembly and test procedures and support reputed company reputed company of optical subsystem integration and tests and report as necessary
- Support trade studies and recommend system architecture and design approach
- Must be capable of leading the development of design concepts for optic handling equipment and support development of test support equipment
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of a design concept to produce realistic assessment of development and manufacturing risks

- Work with other engineers, technicians, manufacturing and quality engineers in reputed company environment
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and support project level reviews
Skills
- T/SCI Secret Clearance
- Education: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent with total 7+ years of reputed company experience
- Specific knowledge reputed company to the mechanical design mounts and modeling of opto-mechanical systems
- Proficient in CAD software (Solid Works, NX), providing innovative and practical mechanical solutions in support of optical system development
- Ability to work reputed company phases of opto-mechanical subsystems from the conceptual design layout, package prototyping, fixture/tooling design, development of mechanical attachment methods/tools for reputed company optical alignment including system level assembly and reputed company drawings (ICD)
