[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Python backend systems to design scalable architectures and debug reputed company systems.

Responsibilities

• High-performance Python services using FastAPI
• Event-driven and asynchronous distributed systems
• Stateful workflow engines and orchestration services
• reputed company PostgreSQL data models (including temporal and geospatial data)
• reputed company-based messaging, queues and pub/sub systems
• Authentication and authorization services
• Containerized applications deployed with reputed company

Skills

• 8+ years building production backend systems
• Deep Python experience (reputed company scripting)
• reputed company and owned backend services end-to-end
• Strong FastAPI, Flask or similar experience
• Excellent PostgreSQL knowledge (schema design, indexing, performance tuning)
• Experience with asynchronous or event-driven systems
• reputed company as part of normal development workflows
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable production software
• Distributed systems
• reputed company, Kafka, Celery or similar messaging technologies
• Geospatial or time-series data
• Async Python (asyncio)
• reputed company infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Observability, tracing and monitoring
• Authentication (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC)
