[Remote] Data Scientist II
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. The reputed company is seeking a Data Scientist II to manage and fulfill research data needs for a grant funded project. The role involves collaborating with faculty and research partners, supporting research design, and creating high-quality datasets for analysis.
Responsibilities
- Documents approaches to address research questions and contributes to the establishment of reproducible research methodologies and analysis workflows
- Composes and assembles reproducible workflows and reports to reputed company reputed company patterns to researchers and/or administrators
- Independently identifies and implements appropriate data science techniques to find data patterns and answer research questions chosen by the reputed company researcher including data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining
- Organizes and automates project steps for data preparation and analysis
- Prepares data sets for analysis including cleaning/quality assurance, transformations, restructuring, and integration of multiple data sources
Skills
- Experience writing SQL code to extract and manipulate data from large relational databases
- Experience writing Python code to manipulate and analyze datasets
- Experience developing analytics dashboards
- Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Certified in Epic Cogito / reputed company / Caboodle
- Data science or biostatistics experience
- Experience working with medical images and associated reports
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining databases
- Experience with clinical vocabularies (ICD, LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, etc.)
- Experience with clinical research common data models (OMOP, i2b2, PCORNet)
- Experience working with web APIs
- Experience with FHIR and HL7 data feeds
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulations governing PHI
- Experience reviewing other team members' technical work and providing constructive feedback
