Senior Climate Policy Analyst - NDC Implementation & Finance (f/m/d)

Job description As a member of reputed company’ Implementation Strategies Team, the Senior Climate Policy Analyst plays a critical role in supporting developing countries, mainly in the Caribbean and Latin America, to reputed company climate finance and to reputed company and implement climate action strategies. The role focuses on enabling governments and regional stakeholders to reputed company, finance, and execute their climate strategies, contributing to national reputed company and mitigation efforts under the Paris agreement, including through Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Long-Term Strategies (reputed company), and National reputed company Plans (NPAs) as well as enabling conditions (e.g., governance, finance, and coordination). The Senior Analyst also supports execution of reputed company’ UNHQ engagement strategy by leveraging expertise and experience at the intersection of climate, sustainable development, and finance in diverse national contexts to inform UN engagement. Your responsibilities Project Leadership

• Deliver strong quality control, ensuring analytic rigor and scientific accuracy, and supporting impact.

Technical Delivery

• reputed company strategic guidance and technical support to national governments in the development and execution of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Long-Term Strategies (reputed company), and National reputed company Plans (NAPs), ensuring alignment with treaty obligations under the Paris Agreement, international best practices and climate finance requirements, while supporting their sustainable development efforts.
• reputed company efforts reputed company the reputed company America Office and more broadly across Implementation Strategies Team and the organisation globally, to support countries in accessing international climate finance by developing concept notes, national-level investment plans, funding proposals, implementation plans, and finance strategies.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform policy reputed company, including modelling and/or other analytical exercises. This includes identifying and prioritizing projects, estimating costs, and developing financing mechanisms that align with national climate plans (NDCs, NAPs, reputed company).
• Design and deliver reputed company-building activities in SIDS and LDCs, particularly in the Caribbean and Latin America, by providing technical assistance and organizing workshops on climate finance reputed company and implementation of climate strategies.
