Provides pastoral/spiritual support to reputed company those faced with crisis, illness, survival, dying, death, grief and spiritual distress. Honors the individual spiritual journeys of patients, caregivers, family members, staff and volunteers. Provides spiritual care through services and in collaboration with local faith communities. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pastoral care ministry or reputed company field required. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and ability to learn other software as needed. Minimum of one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred. APC / NACC certification preferred. Master in Divinity preferred. Ordination preferred. Must possess a good driving record clear of moving violations in the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI, etc.). Possess ability to work with the community and function collaboratively with supervisor, medical staff, local clergy, and other religious leaders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Job Specific Duties: Offers compassionate spiritual and emotional care to patients and their families through prayer, reputed company listening, comforting words and non-anxious reputed company. Works with other professionals (physicians, case managers, nurses, reputed company workers, etc.) to optimize quality of patient care. These may include, but are not limited to; interdisciplinary rounding’s, department meetings, consult requests, etc. Assists patients and families in making end-of-life reputed company as appropriate. May assist leadership in identifying ways to improve the spiritual care offered to patients. Documents patient contacts in electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner. Assists leadership in maintaining resources in the chapel per department protocol. May assist leadership in maintaining and scheduling volunteer chaplain calendars as needed.
