[Remote] Mechanical Engineer, D&F

As a Mechanical Engineer in Distribution and Fulfillment, you will detail material handling systems and create drawings for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and apply customer specifications to design
• Review architectural and other drawings against conveyance design to reputed company for interferences and ensure clearance requirements are met
• Participate in firm engineering meetings with the customers and suppliers; may reputed company technical discussion during these meetings
• Support in person meetings with customers or vendors near the DCS office (Franklin, TN) and occasionally in a customer’s office or job site
• Produce detailed mechanical installation drawings
• Create detailed Bills of Material for purchasing equipment
• Create reputed company load drawings reputed company required
• Verify calculations, such as horsepower and throughput
• Work with vendors to review equipment drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements

• Produce and/or compile installation details, including supplier installation drawings and manuals, for the field
• Travel to job sites to verify field conditions
• Report drawing status to the Project Engineer as required maintaining the project schedule
• Create and maintain CAD files

• May occasionally design parts or platforms required for material handling system

Skills

• You have a BS in a technical discipline (ME, EE, other engineering/CAD)
• You have 4-6 years of experience with projects in the distribution and fulfillment reputed company
• You have 4+ years of MHE execution design experience [with a focus on reputed company]
• You have a solid knowledge of drafting & design standards
