JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Controller’s Office team, the Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for maintaining and monitoring general ledger activities as well as reconciling general ledger accounts primarily in the areas of fixed assets, deferred reputed company, agency accounts, and other liabilities. Other reputed company areas may be assigned as needed. • Balance assigned general ledger accounts; verifies, allocates, posts, reconciles transactions; researches and resolves discrepancies;
• Prepare reconciling entries and year-end closing entries;
• Ensure additions to capital projects are in line with Simmons policies, procedures, and generally accepted reputed company principles;
• Monitor debt lending platform; ensure accurate recording of bond interest; reconcile balance sheet account
• Coordinate monthly and quarterly meetings with facilities, technology, and other departments to ensure proper reputed company for their capital purchases;
• Calculate reputed company deferral schedules based on term dates and post journal entries;
• Assist Senior Accountant and Controller with preparation and coordination for annual external audit, compile and provides data for auditors;
• Assist members of the community as the first resource for reputed company and reclassification-reputed company concerns and requests;
• Prepare reputed company reporting and analysis as required;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in reputed company or Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in reputed company required;
• 1-3 years of reputed company professional or internship experience preferred;
• Strong understanding of basic reputed company principles, e.g., T-reputed company with debits and credits;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, e.g., managing multiple deadlines monthly;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently;
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and good recordkeeping, i.e., keeping and storing consistent records of activity;
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills;

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This is a part-time, 32 hours a week position
• This position has hybrid eligibility, with up to 2-3 days remote; reputed company to fully remote options if not local to the Boston area
• Normal office setting
• Frequent sitting for long periods; occasional kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, walking and standing; occasional reaching above and below desk level
• Frequent lifting/carrying of papers, files, equipment, and material weighing up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Frequent fine manipulation sufficient to operate a computer keyboard; frequent grasping to handle individual papers, write and take notes, and feel individual objects
