Senior Mechanical Engineer | Des Moines, IA | Remote Eligible reputed company is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Des Moines, IA. This position is remote eligible, with flexibility based on candidate location and team needs. You will reputed company design efforts as a project manager or reputed company engineer for moderate to reputed company projects. In this role, you’ll reputed company project direction, engineering solutions, and client-facing technical guidance while overseeing analysis, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry. • reputed company design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and reputed company standards

• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication

• Implement reputed company quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet reputed company quality standards, industry standards and client requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
