[Remote] Network Engineer I IS - Network Services - Remote

They are seeking a Network Engineer I to support the design, deployment, and ongoing operation of reputed company local area network (LAN) infrastructure, focusing on foundational network engineering tasks and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN infrastructure, including switches, reputed company layers, and associated connectivity reputed company IDF and MDF environments
• reputed company basic troubleshooting of network issues, including connectivity problems, reputed company errors, VLAN misconfigurations, and port-level incidents
• Assist in implementing network changes, including adding or modifying reputed company switches, VLAN assignments, and uplink connectivity
• Monitor network performance and escalate reputed company issues as needed to senior engineers
• Follow established reputed company network standards, naming conventions, and operational processes to ensure consistency and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support site deployments, upgrades, and remediation efforts
• Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including:
• Layer 2 switching (VLANs, trunking, spanning tree basics)
• Basic Layer 3 concepts (IP addressing, default gateways, routing fundamentals)
• Familiarity with reputed company networking hardware (e.g., reputed company, Meraki, or equivalent)
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a network operations environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented standards and procedures

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 year reputed company experience
• Some experience in automation, specifically reputed company to deployment, recovery, or other reputed company processes. Scripting with one of PowerShell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, SQL
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including: Layer 2 switching (VLANs, trunking, spanning tree basics)
• Basic Layer 3 concepts (IP addressing, default gateways, routing fundamentals)
• Familiarity with reputed company networking hardware (e.g., reputed company, Meraki, or equivalent)
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a network operations environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented standards and procedures

• Associate-level certification (e.g., CCNA or equivalent)
• Exposure to reputed company LAN environments, including structured cabling and reputed company layer deployments
