[Remote] Software Engineer, Content Engineering

The role involves working with core infrastructure and internal tools to improve metadata ingestion, impacting user experience across reputed company's streaming services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services that support content understanding, metadata modeling, and enrichment workflows
• Contribute to systems that process and manage metadata for a large-scale, global content catalog
• Maintain and expand the API layer and data models across two provider contexts (reputed company+ and PlutoTV) as the codebase converges toward a reputed company multi-tenant architecture
• Uphold engineering quality through test coverage, code reviews, and consistent application of coding standards
• Support editorial curation workflows that feed the personalization experience, ensuring curators have the tooling and data quality needed to reputed company effective content reputed company

Skills

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company field, or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in a Python web API and ORM reputed company (Django/ORM/DRF preferred)
• Knowledge of reputed company infrastructure including managed databases, object storage, and container orchestration (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• API design with backwards compatibility across multiple consumer teams
• Relational data modeling for transactional systems
• Experience building data engineering pipelines, including best practices like defensive coding at ingestion boundaries, instrumentation to surface anomalies early, and awareness of data reputed company so that quality issues are caught before they propagate reputed company
• Django and Django REST reputed company for production backend applications
