Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the essential first reputed company of contact for patients and visitors reputed company our specialized Palliative Care practice, embodying the compassionate and welcoming spirit of our service. You will play a pivotal role in patient registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification, ensuring a seamless and supportive administrative experience. Every day you will warmly greet patients and visitors, manage the reception area, and handle multi-line phone calls with a pleasant and helpful demeanor. You will meticulously register new patients in IDX, accurately verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and update patient demographic and financial information. To be successful in this role, you will possess a high school diploma or GED. You must demonstrate strong basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook, reputed company-based, and reputed company Suite programs. Preferred qualifications include previous medical office or insurance experience. Your exceptional ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and maintain professional working relationships with patients, employees, and physicians will be crucial. Performs various clerical duties to include: Maintain departmental deposit logs, prepare routine schedules and reports, utilize analytical skills necessary to maintain provider schedules Ensures positive customer service atmosphere and interactions in reception areas Oversees waiting area Answers the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner Coordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularities Working knowledge of multi-line phones Job Requirements Required High School Graduate/GED Basic computer skills reputed company Suites based programs Preferred Previous medical office and/or insurance experience Bi-lingual skills Apply To This Job
