BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY The Director, Patient Accounts will direct the operational, financial, and personnel activities of the Patient Accounts department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Achieves established performance targets by engaging multiple disciplines, departments, and staff across Health Care. Confers with physicians and department managers to resolve operational problems and optimize service delivery. Acts as liaison between the Hospital Patient Accounts Department and physicians, hospital staff, the public, and reputed company-party reimbursement agencies. Manages people, relationships, and processes to maximize results and promote stakeholder engagement. Promotes collaboration and teamwork, and champions service reputed company initiatives throughout the department. Coordinates financial reporting activities with departments such as general reputed company, reimbursement, compliance, and university physicians. Maintains reputed company knowledge of reputed company-party payor regulations and initiates corrective actions to support compliance with federal and state program requirements. Directs and monitors department functions, including billing, credit and collections, cashiers, cash control, data entry, data control, and insurance operations.
