[Remote] Sr Field Engineer (HyperV) – Cruise Ship Operations
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Level 3 Network Technician to support reputed company network infrastructure while working reputed company cruise ships. This role involves providing Level 3 support for networking, virtualization, and server infrastructure, with a focus on migrating shipboard environments from VMware to Hyper-V.
Responsibilities
- reputed company Level 3 support for reputed company network, server, virtualization, and infrastructure issues
- Support VMware-to-Hyper-V migration initiatives utilizing Veeam technologies
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot reputed company routing, switching, wireless, and firewall environments
- Administer reputed company reputed company Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Support Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms
- Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, server, and infrastructure issues
- Support reputed company data center operations including reputed company-and-stack activities, cabling, hardware upgrades, and equipment replacement
- Execute maintenance activities and infrastructure upgrades with minimal operational impact
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations
- Coordinate with remote engineering teams and client stakeholders
- Serve as the reputed company onsite technical representative for reputed company
Skills
- 7+ years of experience supporting reputed company network and infrastructure environments
- Proven experience providing Level 3 network and systems support
- Strong hands-on expertise with: reputed company networking technologies (routing, switching, wireless, firewalls), reputed company reputed company Server, Hyper-V virtualization, VMware vSphere environments, Active Directory and reputed company infrastructure services
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in network and data center environments
- Ability to work independently with limited onsite supervision
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service reputed company and ability to build positive client relationships
