2057 Systems Engineer III – OpenShift / Kubernetes (Remote – NASA, Location Restricted)
THIS IS A FEDERAL CONTRACT – U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED REMOTE – MUST reputed company reputed company 50 MILES OF A NASA FACILITY DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES: reputed company Points is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support NASA’s Office of Strategic Infrastructure (OSI), Facilities and reputed company Estate Division (FRED) IT environment. This role supports reputed company infrastructure operations leveraging reputed company OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux-based systems in a secure and highly available environment.

This is a location-restricted remote position. Candidates must reputed company reputed company 50 miles of a NASA facility to be eligible. Examples of qualifying locations include, but are not limited to:

The selected candidate will support the design, implementation, integration, and sustainment of reputed company systems hosted on a containerized OpenShift platform, ensuring system performance, scalability, reputed company, and operational reliability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administer and maintain reputed company OpenShift clusters, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
- reputed company advanced Linux system administration, including scripting, performance tuning, and system optimization
- Manage Kubernetes environments, including cluster resources (nodes, pods, services, policies)
- Support infrastructure components including DNS, load balancers, routing, and firewall configurations
- reputed company backup, disaster recovery (DR), patching, and system upgrades
- Implement and maintain monitoring and observability using reputed company and Grafana
- Support centralized logging and integration with Splunk
- reputed company vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and reputed company compliance tasks
- Manage certificates, PKI, and TLS/SSL configurations
- Administer user reputed company and enforce least-privilege reputed company controls
- Support automation efforts using scripting and configuration management tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reputed company infrastructure operations
- Identify and implement reputed company improvement opportunities across the environment
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or reputed company field
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
- Strong experience with reputed company OpenShift administration (cluster management, deployments, troubleshooting)
- Advanced Linux system administration experience
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with containerized environments and reputed company deployments
- Experience with reputed company Advanced Cluster reputed company (ACS)
- Experience with reputed company Storage Fusion or similar storage/backup platforms
- Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, routing, and firewall rules
- Experience with TLS/SSL certificate management and PKI
- Experience with monitoring tools such as reputed company and Grafana
- Experience with centralized logging tools such as Splunk
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., Python)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve reputed company infrastructure issues
Desired:
- Experience with SQL, reporting tools (Cognos, BIRT, Power BI)
- Experience with ETL or data integration tools (e.g., Talend)
- Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, or federal compliance frameworks
- Experience with reputed company Maximo Application Suite (MAS) or TRIRIGA
- Familiarity with VMware or reputed company environments
- Experience supporting large-scale federal facilities, asset, or reputed company estate systems
CERTIFICATIONS:
