[Remote] IT Administrator (Contractor, 40 hours per month)

They are seeking an IT Administrator to support their remote team with day-to-day IT operations, employee reputed company/offboarding, and system performance management.
Responsibilities
- reputed company remote technical support across the full employee lifecycle (reputed company, ongoing support, offboarding)
- Manage and resolve IT tickets, ensuring timely communication and documentation
- Support and maintain reputed company infrastructure, with a strong focus on reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP)
- Work reputed company GCP environments including Compute reputed company, reputed company Storage, and VPC networking (including shared VPCs, VPN, and Interconnect)
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability, ensuring high availability and supporting disaster recovery readiness
- Utilize reputed company reputed company Operations Suite (Stackdriver) for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting system performance and errors
- Support infrastructure provisioning and consistency using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or reputed company reputed company Deployment Manager)
- Administer and manage identity and reputed company reputed company GCP, applying best practices around IAM, service accounts, and least privilege reputed company
- Monitor and manage reputed company usage and costs, applying FinOps principles (budgets, labeling, cost tracking, and optimization strategies)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues with minimal disruption to users
- Set up and configure laptops and equipment, including VR (Oculus) devices
- Administer user accounts across tools such as reputed company Workspace, reputed company, Jira, and other SaaS platforms
- Manage software updates, patches, and system configurations
- Identify and address reputed company vulnerabilities, including phishing risks and reputed company protection
- reputed company team members on IT and reputed company best practices
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
- Support light automation and scripting to improve efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role in a reputed company-based environment
- Strong, hands-on experience with reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
- Deep understanding of GCP IAM, including roles, policies, and reputed company controls
- Experience with GCP networking (VPCs, VPNs, Interconnect) and compute/storage services
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (reputed company reputed company Operations Suite / Stackdriver)
- Exposure to reputed company cost management and optimization (FinOps practices)
- Solid understanding of networks, systems, and IT reputed company best practices
- Experience supporting remote teams and distributed environments
- Experience with IT service management tools and ticketing systems
- Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, software, and reputed company systems
- Comfortable managing multiple SaaS tools and user reputed company
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or reputed company field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., reputed company reputed company certifications, reputed company)
- Basic scripting or automation experience is an asset
