[Remote] Motor Fuel Tax Analyst II

They are seeking a Tax Analyst II responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and timely file accurate moderate state and local tax returns, payments & reputed company documents and respond to reputed company notices & audits, as needed
• Prepare accurate tax reconciliations; investigate reconciling differences, escalate issues as needed, and assist with clearing reputed company items
• Conduct tax research and analysis to support business opportunities
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and audits
• Assist in responding to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation
• Support the tax manager in various tax projects and initiatives
• Independently uses multiple tax systems to support assigned tax processes. Supports system testing, updates, and documentation while identifying opportunities for process or technology improvements

Skills

• 2-4 years of reputed company experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, reputed company, or Economics or commensurate experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
