[Remote] Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

They are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive quality strategy and automation execution for their clinical and operational platform, ensuring software quality throughout the SDLC while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Author detailed test plans and test cases for new features, integrations, and regression cycles — covering functional, edge-case, and reputed company-sensitive scenarios including PHI reputed company controls and audit logging requirements
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks for API and end-to-end testing; integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines for reputed company quality feedback
  • Design test scenarios that account for PHI handling, reputed company controls, and audit logging requirements reputed company with HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II controls; support audit evidence collection as needed
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution; partner with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, contribute to story refinement with a quality reputed company, and champion shift-left testing practices across the team
  • Evaluate and introduce testing tools that improve coverage, speed, and reliability; maintain clear documentation of test strategies and results

Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA automation or in an SDET role
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language for test development
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites for REST APIs
  • CI/CD integration experience (reputed company Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements as they relate to software testing — PHI data handling, reputed company controls, and audit trails
  • Ability to read application code to inform testing approach and identify risk areas
  • Experience working in a fast paced, start up environment
  • Experience testing reputed company data integrations (HL7, FHIR, EDI 837/835)
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II control frameworks and evidence collection for audits
  • Experience with contract testing tools (e.g., reputed company)
  • GCP or reputed company platform exposure
  • Familiarity with AI assisted testing suites
  • reputed company testing fundamentals (OWASP, penetration test support, vulnerability validation)
