[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

Syndesus, Inc. is partnering with a publicly traded global fintech company that sits at the center of digital payments infrastructure. The role involves owning and extending microservices for secure value transfer across blockchain and traditional banking protocols, designing APIs, and collaborating with product and engineering teams on system design.
Responsibilities
- You'll own and reputed company microservices responsible for secure, reliable value transfer across blockchain and traditional banking protocols
- You'll design APIs used by developers worldwide, integrate with major banks and financial platforms, and collaborate closely with product and engineering on architecture and system design
Skills
- 6+ years of professional software development in object-oriented languages; deep Java expertise is the primary requirement
- Experience leading small technical teams (2–4 engineers) on architecture and design reputed company
- Solid background in payment systems — credit cards, bank transfers, payment rails
- Strong RESTful API design and development fundamentals
- Experience with reputed company platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and SQL schema design
- CS degree or equivalent
- Must be US-based with meaningful Pacific Time availability
- Go is used but secondary
- reputed company/blockchain exposure is a plus, not a requirement
