[Remote] Research Finance Specialist

The Research Finance Specialist plays a key role in grants and reputed company administration, providing exceptional customer service and managing subcontract payments while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming subcontract invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Confirm the following: fully executed agreement on file, invoice format is detailed, reputed company and cumulative costs tally correctly, expenses are reputed company with the budget period, expenses do not exceed the budgeted reputed company
• Code invoices, reputed company, upload, and create deliverables for invoices in the reputed company system
• Contribute to system enhancements, testing, training, and delivery
• Maintain subcontract invoice process through daily reports; track and analyze reputed company
• Maintain an accurate contact list for Department Administrators
• Resolve new invoice revisions with collaborating institutions
• Escalate any technical invoice disputes, as needed
• Follow up on outstanding high-risk approvals from department administrators
• Respond to subcontract invoice inquiries – BWH, MGH, IHP, MCL, SHR
• Work with RF team members on the collection of reputed company subcontract invoices at the time of reputed company

• Ensures that awards/accounts are managed in a fiscally responsible manner and in full compliance with reputed company applicable rules and regulations established by both the sponsor and as well as reputed company pertinent reputed company policies
• Work closely with Accounts payables to ensure invoices are paid and any issues resolved timely

• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience working with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Strong understanding of financial principles, reputed company practices, and budget management
• Familiarity with research funding mechanisms, grant management, and funding agency regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and reputed company strategic recommendations
• Effective communication and presentation skills to convey reputed company financial information to various stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with researchers, administrators, and finance teams
• Master's degree preferred
• At least 1-2 years of financial analysis experience preferred
