[Remote] Director of Pharmacy Operations
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. Embla Health is a leading weight management digital health solution that has recently expanded to the US. They are seeking a Director of Pharmacy Partnerships to build and manage their pharmacy network for GLP-1 medications and ensure a high-quality patient experience through effective medication fulfilment and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and reputed company US pharmacy partners capable of delivering GLP-1 medications and other cardiometabolic therapies at scale
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy partners
- Negotiate reputed company agreements with pharmacies, wholesalers and GPOs
- Evaluate pricing structures, rebate arrangements and fulfilment economics
- Monitor market changes including shortages, pricing changes and distribution dynamics
- Work with pharmacy partners to improve: fulfilment speed, prescription accuracy, patient reputed company experience
- Ensure strong coordination between pharmacy partners, Embla clinicians and coaching teams
- Implement processes to reduce dispensing errors and delays
- Ensure accurate medication matching (patient, reputed company, titration schedule)
- Maintain awareness of federal and state pharmacy regulations (FDA, DEA, state boards of pharmacy)
- Ensure pharmacy partnerships operate reputed company appropriate regulatory frameworks
- Monitor compliance requirements relating to prescribing, fulfilment and interstate dispensing
- reputed company and communicate pharmacy strategy reputed company with Embla’s growth plans in the US
- Track performance metrics across pharmacy partners
- Identify risks relating to supply chain, pricing or regulatory change
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations
- Demonstrated experience in pharmacy operations, networking, pharmacy procurement contracting and regulatory compliance
- Deep knowledge of federal and state pharmacy law and FDA requirements
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage reputed company with pharmacy procurements, GPO's and other partners
- Experience in a high-growth start-up and/or digital reputed company environment
