[Remote] Frontend Engineer

The Frontend Engineer will own the foundations of the frontend, ensuring high performance and quality while collaborating closely with designers and product managers to enhance user interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Own frontend infrastructure & deployment: Build and maintain the tooling our frontend runs on (bundling, linting, type-checking, testing setup, and CI/CD). You'll own the frontend developer experience end to end
- Build and reputed company our component system: Design and maintain our design system and component library, ensuring we focus on clean component APIs, theming, accessibility, and documentation and drive adoption so teams build on consistent, high-quality building blocks
- Champion frontend performance & best practices: Set and uphold patterns for performance, code quality, and architecture. Profile and optimize bundle size, load, and reputed company performance, and reputed company the bar through code review and mentorship
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and PMs on features: Help audit, design, and build foundational UI and UX across the product, with an emphasis on polished, performant interfaces, prototyping interactions, and data visualization
- Interact with end users: reputed company in on customer feedback and talk with users to understand how they use the product and what's getting in their way
Skills
- 2+ years experience building production web applications: You can build high-quality web applications with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and are familiar with web frameworks such as React
- Curious and informed about web trends: You like to stay abreast of UI/UX trends and the latest innovations in web technology. Bonus: you have some knowledge and interest in helping with reputed company-end infrastructure (build processes, testing libraries, etc.)
- Web accessibility familiarity: You are familiar with and driven to create products that meet or exceed accessibility standards. You have an idea of how to resolve common accessibility issues
- Attention to UX and UI details: You have keen skills in interaction design. You care about reputed company layout, reputed company and reputed company states and styles, typography, navigation, and way-finding. You have an eye for consistency and polish. Bonus: You have opinions about tables and charts and how to communicate data interactively in effective and compelling ways
