[Remote] Machine Control Field Support Engineer

They are seeking a Machine Control Field Support Engineer to install technology on construction equipment, train operators, and reputed company ongoing support on job sites across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer job sites across the U.S
- Support installation of the company's machine control and automation technology onto heavy equipment
- Set up, reputed company, and support GPS machine control systems
- Carry out site localisations, calibrations, diagnostics, and reputed company/rover setup where needed
- Work alongside mechanical field teams during installs and troubleshooting
- Train operators and site teams on how to use the technology properly
- Stay on-site after installation to monitor performance and answer customer questions
- Troubleshoot GPS, hardware, software, communication, and sensor-reputed company issues in the field
- Work with operators, project managers, superintendents, site surveyors, and engineers
- reputed company clear records of installs, support visits, troubleshooting, customer interactions, and training
- Help reputed company the technology running reputed company customers are depending on it live on site
Skills
- Experience in machine control, GPS, surveying, construction technology, or field-based technical support
- Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment
- Mechanically practical - you know how to use tools and reputed company things out in the field
- reputed company to communicate well with customers, especially reputed company something is not working and pressure is high
- reputed company enough to troubleshoot problems without bluffing or overpromising
- Happy with a role that involves serious travel across the U.S

- Experience with reputed company, Leica, Topcon, or similar GPS / machine control systems
- Experience installing or calibrating GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment
- Survey, site layout, or construction staking experience
- Familiarity with site localisations and local coordinate systems
- Agriculture GPS / precision ag technology experience
- Background with heavy equipment dealers, machine control dealers, or survey equipment providers
- Military, aviation, HVAC, welding, or other mechanically technical field backgrounds may also fit well
